Source Transformers Overseas for Canadian Projects
Kelck sources dry-type, distribution, and pad-mount transformers from qualified overseas manufacturers for Canadian construction projects, with certification verified and engineer-approved before you commit.
What we source
Transformers we source to your spec
De-risked
Overseas pricing, without the overseas risk
Certification verified
Every item is sourced with the marks Canadian AHJs accept (CSA, cUL, cETL). We record the certificate number on each unit, so there's no guesswork at inspection.
Your engineer signs off
Your own independent engineer of record reviews and approves each item before the order is placed. Kelck can't self-verify, so the sign-off is genuinely independent.
Per-item shop drawings
Submittals and shop drawings are coordinated per item and tracked on the platform, so your approval workflow stays clean and auditable.
Delivery guaranteed
Need it fast? Our Express Guarantee commits to a delivery window and refunds the express surcharge if we miss it. Your schedule risk is bounded.

Why source transformers overseas?
Transformer lead times from domestic suppliers have stretched dramatically, and prices have followed. Sourcing direct from a qualified overseas factory restores both cost and schedule control, and Kelck handles certification, QC, and delivery so you carry none of the import risk.
Frequently asked questions
- Are overseas transformers acceptable to Canadian AHJs?
- Yes, when they carry certification accepted in Canada (CSA or a recognized equivalent such as cUL / cETL) and are installed to code. Kelck verifies the mark and certificate number on each unit, and your engineer of record signs off before the order proceeds.
- Can you source transformers to a specific spec (kVA, voltage, taps)?
- Yes. Standard units ship fastest, but we regularly source engineered-to-order and fully bespoke transformers built to your electrical spec. Send us the schedule and we'll quote it.
- What are the lead times on transformers?
- Generally 12 to 24 weeks factory-to-site depending on whether the unit is standard or engineered-to-order. Express Guarantee is available if you need to compress that, with a refund of the surcharge if we miss the committed window.
